mnemonic has joined the Partnership for Cyber Security Innovation (PCSI) a public-private partnership led by TNO. Within this ecosystem, organisations such as ING, Shell, the Dutch Tax Administration, Achmea, ABN AMRO and the NCSC work together with TNO on innovative solutions to cybersecurity challenges.

Sharing expertise across sectors and industries

As a Liaison Partner, mnemonic is closely involved in PCSI initiatives and projects. The organisation is currently participating in the State Sponsored Attacks & Scenario Simulation Intelligence project, which focuses on developing new ways to simulate and analyse state-sponsored threats. Within this project, mnemonic contributes its expertise in threat intelligence, red teaming, and knowledge structures such as knowledge graphs, and actively contributes to the development and validation of solutions jointly developed by PCSI partners.

“Knowledge sharing is essential in our field if we want to stay ahead of adversaries,” says Ferry van der Heijden, Senior Security Consultant at mnemonic and involved in the collaboration. “That is why we invest heavily in public-private partnerships. The Liaison Partner status also lowers the threshold for participating in future PCSI projects, enabling us to further expand our contribution to joint innovation in cybersecurity.”

Long-standing relationship with TNO

The new collaboration underlines mnemonic’s strong focus on Research & Development and builds on a long-standing relationship with TNO. mnemonic has been working with TNO on innovative R&D projects since 2019. This includes the Horizon 2020 project SOCCRATES and the European Defence Fund project AInception. In addition, mnemonic and TNO jointly presented on SOCCRATES at the FIRST Annual Conference.

Reinder Wolthuis, Programme Manager PCSI at TNO, welcomes the expertise mnemonic will be bringing to the table: “With mnemonic, we strengthen the PCSI ecosystem with valuable real-world expertise. For TNO, it is valuable that we now also have the opportunity to collaborate with mnemonic in a national context, having come to know them in recent years as a reliable and highly knowledgeable partner. The new collaboration within PCSI contributes to accelerating innovation and jointly addressing complex cybersecurity challenges.”

Martin Eian, researcher at mnemonic: “We are very positive about this long-standing collaboration, which is characterised by mutual trust and a shared focus on innovation in cybersecurity. We look forward to continuing this collaboration.”
