In cybercrime investigations, one of the keys to success is efficient open-source intelligence (OSINT) collection. Glazer and mnemonic's collaboration aims to address some of the challenges investigators face in OSINT collection.

Glazer is an EU-based cyber intelligence company providing tools that streamline the collection, enrichment, and integration of OSINT data. From their vast experience working in law enforcement and investigating cybercrime, they've identified some of the most acute problem areas when it comes to managing OSINT efficiently:

  • A lot of information is discarded, because it is irrelevant at the time
  • Operational security is heavily dependent on the analysts
  • There is little, if any, overview of what has been collected
  • Information enrichment is a separate workflow from information collection

To address these issues, Glazer has created an isolated browser solution, Glazer Browser, which automatically saves information from web pages, automatically captures entities and enriches them on the fly. This makes it possible for the investigator to see additional information and make a quick triage about domains, IP or cryptocurrency addresses as they are browsing.

mnemonic is supporting Glazer by integrating our passive DNS system into their enrichment service. Passive DNS data is an essential tool for investigators, offering historical information about the infrastructure used by threat actors and helping generate important leads in investigations.

Oskar Gross, CEO of Glazer Technologies, states that “Our collaboration with mnemonic reflects our shared commitment to empowering investigators through better data and technology, helping strengthen the overall security of the online environment.”
