Tom Røseth, Ph.D. is Associate Professor and Chief Instructor in Intelligence at the Norwegian Defence University College. He is one of Norway’s leading experts on intelligence, security policy, and great-power relations, with particular focus on Russia, China, and the war in Ukraine. Røseth leads the Defence University College’s Ukraine-Program and regularly advises, teaches, and briefs military and civilian decision-makers. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Oslo and has extensive experience from both research and senior positions within the Norwegian Armed Forces. In 2024, he received the Kjetil Hatlebrekke Intelligence Prize for his contributions to intelligence studies and public understanding of modern conflict.
